The Deductions Analyst will be responsible for investigating and analyzing deductions created as a result of customer payments to determine their validity. This position will require the ability to effectively utilize multiple databases and applications including, Access, Excel, sales reporting tools, pricing tools, marketing program tools as well as customer portals. The Deductions Analyst will prepare all deduction findings for presentation and advise on a recommended course of action. This position requires effective communication and partnership with our external customers, management, the accounts receivable team, sales, pricing, as well as other operational areas of the organization.  The ideal candidate will have recent demonstrable experience with SAP along with experience working within the beverage industry.


  • Ensure that deductions are properly analyzed and that the appropriate level of communication takes place with sales, pricing, marketing programs, accounts receivable and management to determine the most efficient resolution.
  • Utilize multiple databases and applications to investigate deductions. These would include: Access, Excel, Margin Minder, pricing tools, marketing agreements, customer portals and SAP.
  • Obtain and prepare all supporting documentation for unauthorized deductions that need to be re-invoiced to the customer.
  • Prepare presentations regarding deduction analysis and other pertinent information required.
  • Recommend process improvements that will promote improved efficiencies and effectiveness with assigned segment of customers.
  • Maintain electronic storage and customer profiles which include deduction history, contacts, re-invoicing requirements, along with other information unique to each customer


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or other business related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in deduction research or financial analysis
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including: Outlook, Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint required
  • Recent hands on experience with SAP preferred
  • Experience with online customer portal research
  • Ability to prepare and review reports along with analyzing patterns and trends
  • Excellent problem solving, organizational and time management skills
  • Customer Service mindset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
